In the early 2000s, the rolling hills of Guji in Ethiopia were alive with the promise of something remarkable. Coffee, sacred to the land and its people, was nurtured by pioneers. Among them was Getachew Zekele, a young boy from Addis Ababa whose life would be shaped by the land of Tero Kebele. It was there he first experienced coffee as the heartbeat of daily life, recalling, “It feeds our gatherings, honors our rituals, and blesses our leaders. It’s more than just a drink; its tradition, community, and pride”.
Though raised in the bustling capital, Getachew chose to remain rooted in the fertile hills of Tero, with his heart tied to the rich soil and the dedication of its farmers.
“Dimtu Coffee was born from a simple vision: to honor the soil of Guji and the people who nurture it, while delivering uncompromising quality to every cup.”
